If you’re not familiar with Rinku Town, or more specifically, Rinku Premium Outlet, it’s a huge shopping mall and outlet center where you can eat, shop, play, and just enjoy yourself. For some reason, it reminded me of the old days when I was a high school student. I’d go to the mall every weekend with my friends, spend my $20 allowance, and just goof off. Think of something from the old cartoon shows like Totally Spies or 6teen, haha. I promise you’ll have a good time if you follow my list of things to do in Rinku Town!

Tour Guide Miku❣️

I would like to give a special thank you to my friend, Miku. She knows the area fairly well because she works around there. Despite working in the area, she mentioned that she doesn’t often go there for fun, so it was a new experience for both of us. She was an awesome Rinku Town guide! :).

If you’re unsure how to get around, don’t worry. There are floor maps and guides located throughout Rinku Town. The complex has two main buildings that are connected, plus a neighboring area called Seacle with additional places to eat and shop. I promise it’s an easy place to navigate for your Osaka holiday shopping.

Autumn Sales in Rinku You’ll Fall in Love With~~~

I really wanted to talk about Rinku Town now that it’s October because it’s the holiday season and that means that you need to shop for gifts for your loved ones. Make sure to take advantage of the autumn sales to save where you can. If you miss them, don’t worry! I’m sure there are many seasonal events at this Osaka hotspot!

Food for the Foodies: American Panda Express 🫢

As silly as it sounds, one of the reasons I was excited to go to Rinku Town was because I wanted to eat Panda Express. It had been over six years since I last had it, so I was READY. There’s just something about that distinctive artificial orange chicken flavor that’s hard to find elsewhere. I think there are only two Panda Express locations in Japan: one in Osaka’s Rinku Town and another in Shibuya. Don’t miss out when you’re there!

Shops in Rinku Town

We walked around and explored the different stores. There were many famous brands like Champion, Adidas, Nike, and Puma, but also smaller shops like Theory, Replay, and Miki House. As someone who enjoys walking, I was in my element. What better place to take me than somewhere with beautiful scenery, plenty of shops, and great food? I couldn’t ask for more.

Just look at that view!

One of the great things about Rinku Town is that there’s a shop for everyone. You can find something for yourself, a baby, or even your dog! You can’t go wrong shopping here.

Since it’s mostly an outlet mall, there are plenty of discounts available too. I’d go as far as to say it’s the best place for outlet shopping in Japan.

Halloween Fun

Of course, we had to take advantage of the Halloween season and snap some photos with the huge pumpkin in the center of Rinku Town. I’m sure they change the decorations every season based on the nearest holiday, but if you want cute Halloween pictures, this is the place to go.

 Beachy Moments

Can someone say Osaka with a beach view? One of my favorite memories was walking in the Bay Area right next to Rinku Town. There, we talked and relaxed while watching the sunset.

Remember how I always talk about those magical movie moments? This was definitely one of them.

Miku also found a stick on the beach haha XD

It was also fun to see two Japanese women doing a maternity photoshoot; I offered to take pictures for them, and in return, they took some of us. I love the photos they took! Check them out below.

Seacle✨✨✨

Afterward, we headed to Seacle to explore. I highly recommend visiting if you’re interested in vintage clothing. They have a huge vintage store that Miku and I spent quite a while browsing. The items were major throwbacks and gave me 懐かしい気持ちい (a nostalgic feeling). The other surrounding stores also had great clothing and items.~

It’s All Fun and Games: A Game Center Experience in Rinku Town

We visited the Taito Station game center to play a few games. It felt like I was back in middle school or high school, haha. We played Sonic and Mario at the 2020 Olympics game and the Taiko drum game. It was so much fun!

Thank you so much for reading this article! I can’t believe I’ve called myself an Osaka girl without visiting Rinku Town in my seven years of living in Japan. You could easily spend a whole day in this fun Japanese outlet mall. These are just some of my recommendations for fun things to do in Osaka, whether you’re a tourist or a local. It’s also great if you’re looking for a bit of nostalgia. Be sure to visit soon to take advantage of the holiday sales. And don’t forget to check out the beach to really feel like you’re in a movie haha. Have fun on your trip to Osaka’s outlet mall, Rinku Town!
