If you’re like me, the holiday season is the highlight of the year. Can you believe how quickly the months flew by? Halloween, Thanksgiving, and now we’re just around the corner from Christmas and New Year’s! 🎉

If you’re searching for fun, festive things to do, look no further! Here are some of the best Osaka winter activities that I know you’ll absolutely love.

Light Up at Illumination and Light Festivals

I’ve always said that I love illuminations and light festivals. I am always excited to see them every year. There’s something magical about winter illuminations, and Osaka knows how to do them right. Whether you’re with your partner, family, or enjoying some solo time, these light displays are guaranteed to brighten your night. <3

1)Midosuji Illuminations

I’ve been to this event a couple of times and it is so beautiful. They even have a mini light show that they project onto the Osaka city library for everyone to pass by. I promise it’s a show that you won’t want to miss.

2)Umeda Sky Building’s Floating Garden Illumination

Head up to the Floating Garden Observatory and witness Osaka glowing below you. The lights wrap around the skyline, creating a magical scene perfect for photos and a quiet evening. It’s an unforgettable view you’ll want to take in at least once.

3)Namba Parks Illumination

Namba Parks transforms into a glowing wonderland, where cascading lights decorate the garden terraces. It’s a serene escape in the middle of the city with twinkling paths and cozy vibes that make it a perfect stroll for couples and families.

4)Abeno Harukas Art Light Display

Japan’s tallest building comes alive with dazzling art-inspired lights that dance across the façade. It’s a modern masterpiece that combines illumination and creativity, lighting up the night sky for all to admire.

5)Osaka Castle Illuminage

Christmas Markets! AKA: “Every Shopper’s Dream”

Don’t skip the Christmas markets! Last year, I went to the German Christmas Market with my best friend and another friend, and we had such a blast. These markets are the perfect blend of food, crafts, music, and holiday vibes.

1)German Christmas Market at Umeda Sky Building

As someone who sometimes works with clients at this hotel, I HIGHLY recommend their food! Depending on what you get, it is extremely affordable and I have extremely yummy.

2)Santa Beer Garden at Umeda Sky Building

Sip festive brews while soaking in the holiday atmosphere at this sky-high beer garden. With stunning views and seasonal vibes, it’s the perfect spot to unwind this Christmas!

3)Candlelit Dinner Cruise on Osaka Bay
