Cute baby rabbit resembling Miffy character

OK, so along with my magical movie moments, I really love anything that is remotely cute. If you’ve been following my adventures, you know I’ve explored plenty of cute cafés and themed spots before:

So when I heard about Miffy’s 70th anniversary celebration in Kobe, you know I was beyond excited!

Who Is Miffy?

For anyone who doesn’t know, Miffy is a small, sweet bunny character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. Although many people assume Miffy is Japanese (thanks to her popularity alongside Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and Rilakkuma), she’s actually Dutch.

Miffy’s first storybook was published in 1955, and since then, she has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. With her minimalist and timeless design, Miffy has starred in picture books, animated TV series, and countless collaborations with major brands.

It’s no surprise that Japan absolutely adores Miffy, and her popularity has lasted for decades.
