Taste of Tokyo is a mega food-focused festival taking place at Ishi to Hikari no Hiroba (a space between Tokyo Big Sight and Kokusai Tenjijo Station) in Odaiba.

The event is organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government with the aim to share the cuisine and products of Tokyo’s agricultural, forestry and marine industries—plus cuisine and drinks from the rest of Japan and around the world.

What you can expect is lots and lots options from a multitude of vendors serving up plenty of tasty treats. Gourmet, local, delicacy, sweet, savory, freshly prepared, and just about any other descriptive food word you can think of will be there—all hailing from the Tokyo area. Don’t forget to wash everything down with some Japanese sake and craft beer.

In addition to prepared dishes, you can also pick up fresh produce, dairy, flowers and handmade items. There will also be cooking seminars and entertainment at various stages (including dance and music performances).

Entry is free and all dishes are under 500 yen, so it isn’t surprising that over 75,000 people attended last year.
