The Modern Approach to Japanese Beauty

When I say “beauty,” I’m not just talking about makeup or using highlighters to accent your features. I’m talking about beauty that starts on the inside and radiates outward, as well as how to keep your skin hydrated and glowing on the outside.

I’ve covered beauty and health topics numerous times in my articles—health is a journey, after all! If you’re interested in how I manage my wellness while living here, you can check out one of my previous posts:7 Tips for Managing GERD with Restrictive Eating in Japan

As I have been continuing my personal mission to become the healthiest version of myself, I was recently chatting with one of my clients about it. She told me all about the placenta injections she gets and the incredible benefits she reaps from them. That one conversation sparked my curiosity, leading me to do my own research and eventually book an appointment to try it out for myself, along with a few other specialized treatments.

Discovering CULTIReFINE Clinic

With a mission to help you look and feel your best, the staff at CULTIReFINE are truly experts in their craft. Let me just tell you: as soon as I entered this facility, I was treated like a princess. I don’t say that lightly! The atmosphere was serene, and the staff members were extremely kind. They are pros at making a customer feel welcome, safe, and completely relaxed.

One thing that really gave me confidence was noticing that the staff clearly use their own products—every single woman working there had absolutely stunning, radiant skin. I was very grateful that they were not only good at their jobs but were living proof of the treatments they provide.

Here is the breakdown of the intensive treatments I received over the course of two hours.

The Treatments: From Skin Analysis to High-Tech Injections

1. Professional Skin Analysis

For me, the skin analysis was a vital first step. Using a high-tech diagnostic machine, I was able to learn so much about my skin texture. Luckily, the results showed that my current skincare routine is actually working!

It was fascinating to see the “future prediction” for wrinkles. The machine tests for things like:

*Potential future wrinkles and deep-set lines.

*Underlying skin problems not yet visible to the eye.

*Pore size analysis (counting small and large pores).

*Skin tone distribution and redness/acne sensitivity.

Understanding your skin at this data-driven level helps you stop guessing and start treating your face with what it actually needs.

 2. 1cc Umbilical Cord-Derived Stem Cell Supernatant

I actually hadn’t heard of this specific treatment until I arrived at the clinic, but I was immediately fascinated! This stem cell supernatant helps cells with regeneration and supports overall wellness. This is a cutting-edge trend in Japanese regenerative medicine. It is gaining massive popularity because it helps with chronic fatigue, improves skin quality from a cellular level, and aids in general recovery from illnesses. It’s a newer treatment in the “anti-aging” world, but I am sure it will explode in popularity as more people discover its benefits.

 3. The “Super Garlic” Injection (Ninniku Chusha)

This was the treatment I was most excited about! As I’ve mentioned before, I often struggle with fatigue and I’m constantly searching for ways to boost my energy levels. Despite the name, they don’t actually inject liquid garlic into you! It is a concentrated dose of Vitamin B1, which happens to smell slightly like garlic during the injection.

The garlic injection is famous in Japan for:

*Combatting extreme fatigue and “salaryman” burnout.

*Building immunity against seasonal colds.

*Increasing immediate energy levels.

*It’s a “go-to” for people who are overworked, constantly tired, or suffering from heavy jet lag.

4. Placenta Injection (2A)

Placenta therapy is incredibly common in Japanese beauty clinics <perhaps even more so than garlic injections>. It is highly regarded for its ability to brighten the skin, balance hormones, and support overall internal health.

I was inspired to try this because of my friend. Her skin has been glowing lately, and she looks so refreshed. She told me that since she started getting these injections eight months ago and that it really helped to improve her immune system. I’m hoping to see those same results, especially when it comes to keeping my immune system strong!

5. The HydraFacial

As much as I try to be diligent with washing my face, there is nothing like a professional HydraFacial. Feeling the machine literally suck the dirt out of my pores was so satisfying!

They use a high-tech suction and serum system to remove dead skin, clear out blackheads, and deeply hydrate the layers of the dermis. I wish I had taken a “before” picture of the blackheads on my nose…I’ve had them for years, and after this facial, they were completely gone. The results were immediate; my face felt fresh, light, and incredibly clean.

Overall Impressions on the Beauty Treatments

I recommend this experience 1,000%! One of the things I loved most was the efficiency. Everything was done within a two-hour window. While I was getting my HydraFacial, they were simultaneously administering the IV drip/injections. If they hadn’t multi-tasked, it would have taken much longer, so I really appreciated them valuing my time.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything in simple Japanese to ensure I understood every step of the process. If I was confused, they patiently broke it down for me.

This clinic is a fantastic resource for anyone struggling to keep up with their health who might need an extra boost of energy. While you often need to continue these treatments over a few months to feel the full effects, I left the clinic feeling excited. The facial was the cherry on top as my skin felt softer, smoother, and noticeably brighter the very next day.

Happy Skin Caring!

I am so happy I can share this experience with you today. Not many people outside of Japan know about the “Garlic Injection” or the benefits of placenta and stem cell supernatants. As someone who is trying everything to help my body stay healthy, I was over the moon to find a place that treats both the inside and the outside.

I’m excited to continue this health journey and take you all along with me! If you are feeling fatigued or sluggish, I encourage you to first consult with your doctor to check for any vitamin deficiencies, and then definitely look into the amazing options at a clinic like CULTIReFINE.

Real health takes time ((most people report the best results after about two months of consistent treatment)) so I’m looking forward to seeing how I feel long-term.

Until the next article, please stay happy, stay healthy, and remember to take care of yourself! 🙂
