Are you hoping to stretch your body and feel a little more graceful while you’re at it? Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just looking to try something new, an aerial yoga experience in Osaka might be just what you need!

Why You Should Do Yoga

There are so many benefits to yoga, and aerial yoga adds a fun, challenging twist. If you’re like me, you might not be the biggest yoga fan, but the idea of floating in silk ropes, doing poses you’ve seen in movies, and feeling weightless is too intriguing to pass up! Here are just a few benefits of aerial yoga:
- -Increased flexibility – Helps stretch and lengthen muscles effortlessly.
- -Better sleep – Relaxing movements can improve your sleep quality.
- -Improved body awareness – Gain control and confidence in your movements.
Yay for Yoga!
I wanted a studio that was affordable, easy to get to, and fun—which led me to Ariel Osaka Nao Yoga! To my surprise, the instructor spoke a bit of English, making the experience even smoother. She has traveled a lot and shared great insights, which added to the charm of the lesson.
Reservation
Booking was super easy, even for someone who doesn’t speak Japanese fluently. Just visit the website, check the calendar, pick one of the scheduled reservation times, and reserve your spot. Done! Easy right?
Pre-Class Email <What to Expect>
A few days before your session, you’ll receive an email with important details, including:
- What to wear – Tight-fitting leggings and a camisole or t-shirt are best.
- Arrival time – Arrive early to adjust the silk rope length.
- Rental options – If you don’t have proper attire, you can rent clothes.
- What to bring – Stay hydrated and bring a water bottle!
Arrival

Getting to the studio was a breeze! From Shin-Ōhashi Station, it was just a 5-minute walk to the rental studio on the third floor. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted, and the excitement began!

Stretching
We kicked things off with essential stretching exercises. Trust me—you don’t want to skip this part unless you want to wake up sore the next day (like I did haha). Be sure to work your back and thigh muscles, as they’ll be key in many of the poses.
We started off with fairly simple poses that gradually increased in difficulty and poses that were good for beginners like me and my friend who have never really done yoga before.
The Yoga Poses: Yes, You’ll Actually Be in the Air!
Since this was a beginner class, I expected to take it easy. But nope! We were up in the air, doing real aerial yoga poses from day one. It was both thrilling and a little nerve-wracking at first, but the instructor guided us every step of the way.
One of the best parts? The instructor made sure everyone felt included and comfortable, offering adjustments when needed. We also took short breaks, so remember to bring water to stay hydrated!

Unwind and relax
One of my favorite parts was the unwind session where we laid flat out on the silk rope and rested After all the hard work, we got to lay back in the silk ropes and just relax. The room dimmed, soft music played, and we were gently covered with blankets. For 5-10 minutes, it felt like floating in a cocoon—pure bliss.

A Sweet Ending with a Sweet Treat
To wrap up, the instructor treated us to a special, healthy milk drink. As someone who doesn’t drink cow’s milk, I was happy to find it was an alternative option with great health benefits!

Good Yoga Points!
For a 90-minute trial lesson, the price was ¥3,500—a fantastic deal for such an immersive experience. If you decide to continue, pricing varies, but you can check the Aerial Osaka Prices on their website.
Honestly? I’d do it again! The instructor pushed us just enough to feel challenged but made it enjoyable, even for complete beginners like me and my friend.
