Calling All Beer Lovers…And Those That Aren’t!

Asahi Beer Factory Museum 🍻🍻🍻
You already know I’m a sucker for a good photo spot!
Right at the entrance of the Asahi Beer Museum, there’s a perfect spot to snap some pictures.
If you didn’t know about my passion for photo spots, you can see that here in my Fukusaki article about all of the photo spot benches in the area.
Youkai Watch! Come Hunt Demons In Fukusaki City!
Grab the Audio Guide
After paying for the tour, you’ll receive a bracelet to identify your group and confirm whether you’ll be participating in the beer tasting afterward. Before heading in, you can connect to the museum’s free Wi-Fi and download the audio guide. It’s available in English, Chinese, and other languages, making the experience accessible for visitors from around the world.
Enjoy the Tour!
Depending on the time that you go, you may have to wait a little or you can just go right through and begin your tour with your wonderful tour guide. Be sure to reserve FIRST and then go!
Learn Your Beer History~
The tour dives into the fascinating history behind Asahi Beer. Over the past 132 years, the company has grown into a household name by perfecting its formula through rigorous testing.
As a proud Georgia peach, I was delighted to learn about the connection between Asahi Beer and Coca-Cola (which was created in Georgia, USA! ;)).
Immerse Yourself in VR!
The VR experience at the museum is a highlight. You’ll feel immersed in the Asahi world, and the mini roller-coaster simulation at the end is a fun twist! (Don’t worry, it’s not an actual ride—just a quirky little simulation.)
Get The Factory View Behind the Scenes~
The museum isn’t just about history and VR; it’s also a working factory. You’ll get to see how Asahi Beer is brewed, packaged, and prepped for distribution worldwide.
Having been to the Coca-Cola factory back in Georgia, it was really fun to compare the two. I was especially impressed by Asahi’s sanitation and quality control processes oddly enough. It seemed very intricate~
Taste it!
This is the part that most people showed up for I believe. The taste testing of course! At the end, you are able to do two different beer-tasting experiences.
For the first round, I opted for Calpis juice while everyone else enjoyed beer. It was hilarious being the odd one out! For the second round, I tried a flavored alcoholic soda, which was surprisingly delicious. What’s more, I got to customize my drink, choosing the flavor, alcohol percentage, and more.
After, I was able to sit down, chill, and talk while munching on pretzels. The view was GORGEOUS! It was so peaceful.
Souvenir Shop
Before leaving, make sure to check out the gift shop. Because I participated as a monitor, I received a special gift: a sleek Asahi beer mug. While I’ll probably only use it for juice or protein shakes, it’s a cool keepsake from the experience. 🙂
Experience Rating
Overall, I would rate it a 10 out of 10 experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I’m always grateful if I can learn new information and get food or a drink out of the experience as well haha. The fact that it’s friendly to people who don’t drink beer, inclusive for all, and offers a variety of different activities aside from the museum, such as the mini roller coaster ride, the taste testing experience, and a few other things I didn’t mention that you’ll have to go to the factory it’s fine to find out, I was just really impressed as this museum/factory went beyond my expectations. The Asahi Beer Factory Museum exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or just looking for unique things to do in Osaka, this museum should definitely be on your list. I’m already tempted to return for another round of drink customization!
I promise it will be a wonderful experience if you go, so be sure to try it out. I may just go back again for the customizable drink that they have haha. Happy drinking!🍺
